Fingerstyle: Majesty (Here I am)

Was sitting around waiting for my guys from Trio to arrive for a practice when I felt the inspiration to zip out my handy Sony Ericsson k300 and start shooting of a take on Delirious's "Majesty (Here I am)"... My church has been singing this song of late and I just love the simple yet sweet melody that builts to a climax in the chorus... Nice choice of chord progression too :)

Basically I just incorporated the melody line along with the basic chords of the song. The trick is not in the notes in the left hand but rather the ability to catch the right strings with the right plucking hand... So if you're interested in fingerstyle do consider really practising your right hand fingers in terms of accuracy...

That's all for now folks... Got great plans for this site! Just need to wait till my exams end before I get down to work! :)

God bless.

Website: Mr Fastfinger

This website gave me a good laugh. Very innovative use of flash movie. It encourages interactivity by offering you the option of triggering the featured riffs on your keyboard. Once triggered, Mr Fastfinger will start "playing" it out on the screen. The riffs covered are not easy! There's even a "jam" duel with the evil accordion! haahaha...

Check it out and be amused/inspired! :)

Music jokes

Hi all,

Haha... heard this on Oprah. Thought it was quite funny coming out of a 6 yr old piano prodigy. Didn't get the exact words but you get the idea... :)

Feature: Viva Flamenco! - Victor Moraito part 2

Hi all,

My video host just got going for me so as promised I've posted a video of Victor Moraito in action. Love the haunting tune that he played. Great sense of timing. Vidtor might not be the most technical flamenco players around but I really love how much feel there is in his playing; look at how he grooved with his guitar! :)

God bless.

Coming up: More of Victor Moraito

Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of post. Been busy with my exams which will extend to the 23rd Nov. Do stay tune for more exciting videos and news then. In the meantime, I've planned to post a video of Victor Moraito as a followup to the previous post (Feature: Viva Flamenco! - Victor Moraito). I'm having a little problems with my video host so do bear with me for awhile till I get it sorted out in a few days time yah? Keep rocking hard! :)

God bless.
